Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This policy explains how Go Direct Doors handles personal information when you browse our website, request a quotation or arrange a survey, installation or aftercare.

Who to contact

Go Direct Doors Ltd (trading as Go Direct Doors) is responsible for the information collected through this website. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email sales@godirectdoors.co.uk or call 0800 048 5599.

You can also write to our registered office: The Bloc F14, 38 Springfield Way, Anlaby, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU10 6RJ. Our company number is 16838938.

Information you provide

Our quotation forms collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, product choices and measurements. You can also provide photographs, installation details and notes. A survey or order may require your installation address and further contact, specification and order information.

Please only upload photographs relevant to your enquiry. Avoid including people, payment information or documents containing unrelated personal details. Required form fields help us respond to your request; without them, we may need you to contact us by telephone instead.

Why we use your information

Sending a quotation request does not subscribe you to marketing. We use the contact details you provide to respond to that request.

How information is stored and shared

Website enquiries are saved in our enquiry database, and a notification is sent to our team by email. Uploaded photographs are stored with the enquiry. Information may be handled by the hosting, database and email providers supporting these services.

Where needed to carry out your requested work, relevant details may be shared with the people arranging your survey, supply, installation or aftercare. Information may also be provided to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or claims. We limit sharing to the information needed for the purpose.

Website connections and browser storage

Our pages request fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser makes that connection, Google receives technical request information, including your IP address. The separate survey access screen also attempts to use the ip-api.com service to check the approximate region of an IP address. These are third-party connections, not advertising features.

Third-party services may process technical information outside the UK. Their own privacy information explains their processing. Where we arrange a restricted international transfer of personal information, appropriate safeguards are required under UK data protection law.

The website does not include analytics or advertising tracking scripts. Our cookie policy explains browser storage used for the information notice and the separate survey access screen.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on why the information is needed. Enquiry information is kept while we respond and manage follow-up. If an enquiry becomes an order, relevant information forms part of the order and aftercare record. Retention also takes account of warranty periods, legal record-keeping duties and the time needed to resolve disputes. Information should be deleted or anonymised when no longer required for these purposes. Contact us to ask about the retention of your particular record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of use or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.

Contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our website or the way we handle information changes. The date above identifies the latest update.
